Tragedy in Queens: A quiet Howard Beach block was rocked late Saturday night after police say 25-year-old Carl Muraco fatally stabbed his father, 76-year-old John Muraco, inside their home on 102nd Street.
Officers rushed to the scene just before midnight and found John with a stab wound to the chest. He was pronounced dead on-site.
Neighbors say the family had moved in only a year or two ago. Shocked residents described John as a kind man who always waved hello. Witnesses claim the fatal confrontation happened in the basement, where Carl lived.
Carl was arrested Sunday morning and charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon. The motive is still unknown.
